“When I first began the search for a nanny I was very reluctant to use an agency because the service is a bit costly and I didn’t see any
reason why I couldn’t find a suitable nanny myself. I placed a couple of listings and quickly received many responses from people
interested in the position. I found the whole process of screening these complete strangers extremely time consuming and my
husband was very uneasy with all the interviews I was conducting in our home. The background checks were extremely expensive as
well. After a few weeks of interviews I chose the one person I felt would be a good match for my children. I was home the first three
weeks to show her what to do and to really be sure she would work out. Things were great for the first couple of months and then she
began calling in sick quite a bit and showed up late on quite a few occasions. Now at this time I am working full-time and didn’t have
